Colleen and Dallas adopted Muj from the SPCA in St.Petersburg, FL in 2014. She was born
deaf, and while little is known of her origins, we like to think that she was formed from the
swamp foam, a la Aphrodite rising from the sea. Her name (pronounced “Mooj”), is short for
“mushkila,” which is Arabic for “problem” (of which, she has none). She thinks everywhere she
has ever been is just a different part of Florida, and is a relentless deal maker when it comes to
begging for scraps. Muj’s motto is “ABC”- Always Be Selling. She also works part time for
